Continuous Bounce Lob Wedge
The Continuous Bounce Lob Wedge was developed to help amateur golfers hit better pitching and approach shots in and around the green. This wedge would certainly suit the higher handicapper and has a number of features aimed at this. A unique "Huge Sole" design keeps the club head moving throughout the shot. As the ball is in contact with the club face for longer then more spin can be developed. We certainly know that the lower the bounce within a club then the more likely it is that you can “Dig in” and end up with a “fat shot” with at times the ball just ending up a few yards in front of you, or worse still in the bunker you were trying to clear. For wet bunker shots where the sand can be like cement at certain times of the year this club really comes into it's own. According to MD, the Continuous Bounce sole has two main benefits: It gives the player the confidence to release the wedge in all course conditions and on hard or soft ground. Even on wet ground or Bermuda grass where players can duff shots easily, the design of the sole prevents the head from going through the ground and out of the shot, giving continuous bounce.
The position of the sole also keeps the head stable through impact and prevents the ball leaving the club face without spin – as adhesion generates spin, the longer the ball remains on the face, the greater the spin produced.

Our View: There is only one option for the Lob Wedge - 60° but this can be teamed up with the Gap wedge at 52° and the Sand wedge at 56°. The continuous bounce throughout the range of wedges would certainly help the higher handicapper.
